The SoyLicious.com Story
Michael and Rachel met over 19 years ago while he was working as a manager at a retail store. Since then, they have gotten married and been blessed with 7 children; Brandon, Nathan, Brittany, Zachary, Quentin, Courtney, and Jonathan.
While working as a manager for a regional craft store, Michael was putting in many long hours, nights and weekends and started looking for a way to make a living without missing out on his family. The craft store sold items to make candles from paraffin wax. The first candles they made were horrible and wouldn't even burn. However, with more practice and experimenting, they were able to make quality candles that they sold to friends, family, neighbors, and at craft shows.
After much research on Soy candles, they were able to see many advantages to using soy wax. The main benefits being a longer burn time, that it is a renewable resource grown by American farmers, and has low soot. When their children started bringing home fundraiser packets from school with overpriced, cheap items, they saw the opportunity to turn their love of candles and their hobby into a business.
Around the same time, Michael and Rachel found out that their son Nathan, who was 9 at the time, had Type 1 diabetes. This increased their determination to make a success of their candle business, so they could spend more time as a family. Being a savvy business man, Michael started putting together fundraisers with high quality, affordable, clean burning soy candles and has since helped thousands of fundraiser groups.
Having been blessed in fulfilling their dream with a successful candle company they wanted to share the opportunity with others. In 2009 SoyLicious.com was born.
The Broyles Family would like to thank all current and future consultants for their dedication and hard work.
